Sunrise was founded as a small Hardcore records mailorder under the preceding name XSunrise MailorderX in 1996. Two years later Heiko began selling his own boards and shirts out of the trunk of his car in the Eifel region. By now the brand was called Sunrise Skateboards which overall can be seen as the predecessor of Concretewave. Without the little mobile sales brand there wouldn't have been the renowned shop today in cologne. Through the years more skateboards, longboards and shirts followed. Furthermore hardware such as bearings, gloves and other stuff were sold under this name. Some of you might even still remember the 70mm tall Eifel wheels.
