Cruiser / Carver
comfortable rolling you can choose a flex deck that even better dampen the ground irregularities. These boards are usually reinforced with fiberglas or carbon to achieve a flexible board without breaking (trampoline effect).
The way the trucks are mounted is more important than the shape of a longboard. Basically, a distinction is made between the dropthrough and topmount mounting.
Dropthrough mounted boards are preferred for cruising because of their low platform. This type of truck mounting makes the board flatter and more stable than a topmount board, which makes pushing and braking much more comfortable and easier. With topmount boards, the trucks are mounted from the bottom to the board. This makes it possible to stand near or on the trucks and resulting in a greater leverage effect and a more direct response. In this way, a topmount board is better suited for carving down a hill with s-shaped carves.
