Torey Pudwill - The story behind Grizzly

When Torey Pudwill was named best street skater at the 2011 TransWorld Skateboarding Awards, he was just 21 years old but had already been making a splash on the big screen and in street skating competitions for years. "T-Puds", as he calls himself, is known for his playful street skills, which can be seen in videos such as "Torey Pudwill's Big Bang" from 2011 and a leading role in the Plan B film from 2013. Over the years, he has earned a number of podium finishes, including wins at Matix Lord of the Lines, the Copenhagen Pro, the Tampa Pro and the Maloof Money Cup.

Torey struggled with persistent injuries - first an ankle injury and then a badly broken finger - that kept him out of competition and forced him to turn down his first two invitations to the X Games. But in 2013, fully recovered and stronger than ever, he competed in his first X Games, Street League's debut at the X Games in Brazil, and took home a bronze medal.The California native is also an entrepreneur: at the age of 12, he started his own company, Grizzly Griptape. Thanks to his positive attitude and friendly nature, Torey is respected for his attitude as much as his talent. "I work hard and skate every day because it's something I do for fun and for love," he says. "I'm just trying to get kids excited about skateboarding like I did when I was a kid.
