The Supersonic Aegis features the same proven shape and geometry as the Superdupersonic but additionally includes a square profile and precision-molded fenders that keep water, mud, and road grime away while riding. This is the Clean-Ride version of our most popular LDP deck designed to keep you moving regardless of road conditions.
What sets the Aegis apart from others?
Instead of simply widening and cutting out wheel wells like with the Superdupersonic, we cut the deck like a brick and precisely milled the wheel wells directly into the fenders. Combine the Aegis with 130mm Bear trucks to achieve the perfect track width so your wheels tuck into the wheel wells for maximum lean and dry feet.
The Aegis is designed for use with risers. The same riser package we combine with 102mm Hokus on the Superdupersonic now also fits for 92mm Karma wheels on the Aegis. Want larger than 92mm? Use taller risers to maintain full clearance and take advantage of the fendered shape.
This is essentially the Fullshape version of Supersonic. The square shape makes nose and tail slightly stiffer, which is exactly what you want when riding in adverse conditions. This additional stiffness provides more stability, safety, and longer deck life.
We removed cross-layers of maple wood – a weak point in most skateboards – replacing them with fiberglass in light and medium flex versions, as well as long layers of maple wood in heavy flex versions. The result is a board that stores its energy, resists fatigue, and effortlessly balances its leverage forces during deep turns.
Rafa Alvarez gives Aegis a bold, warrior-like design featuring a mythical shield bearer standing guard in a forest clearing. It's an apt symbol for this deck's purpose: protecting you from elements and ensuring you keep moving forward.
