The Shuriken by Pantheon is a modern high-end surf skate deck with great attention to detail. We have embraced Pantheon's design ethos and vision, collaborated with experienced surf skaters, listened to feedback, and modified multiple times to achieve this final design that combines form, function, and high-quality materials.

Construction:

• 6-ply maple core

Concave:

The concavity of the Shuriken Surf Skate is mild in the front area, with a very gentle scoop in the front and a concave pocket tail. The deck is fairly flat in the middle to support torsional flex. There is a slight rocker through the deck platform.

Construction:

The Shuriken consists of a 6-ply maple core with triaxial fiberglass layers under the top and bottom maple layers to make this board functionally as strong as an 8-ply one.

Concept:

We started this project with some basic concepts in mind - smooth, clean lines reminiscent of a surfboard combined with comfort and functionality.

Wheel Wells / Setups:

An obvious feature of this deck that stands out are the wheel wells which provide additional clearance for various truck types such as Carver CX, Yow, Grasp Trucks, and Station Skate.

We have experimented with internal wheel wells on our top-mount pumper decks as well as some other distance prototypes to provide functional additional wheel clearance for these different truck types.
