RipTide Sports was born when we couldn't find the right feel for our boards when we started skating the hills of Santa Barbara with our son. He wasn't having as much fun skating as he wanted because he was too light to control the board he had. So, we developed bushing durometers down to 60a and discovered our passion for creating products that not only enhance rideability and breathe new life into skateboards but also expand the functionality of all disciplines!
With our bushings, all ages and weight classes can enjoy the unique freedom that only four wheels attached to a piece of wood can provide. Thirteen years later, we moved to the coast of Oregon and are still committed to developing new skateboarding products and accessories. We have perfected and developed our bearing lubrication, bushing formulas, new hardness levels, bushing shapes, unique footstops, and accessories that enhance the feel and performance of every skateboard or longboard.
We are a small family business that produces high-quality, handcrafted urethane compounds in small batches, and we are committed to ensuring that all our products are made in America.
Our products are tested at every stage of the process, packed with a sticker and corresponding washers or hardware, and provided with user information on the back. We are committed to providing the right products for rider gear and have spent countless hours testing and ensuring that our products fit correctly. We stand fully behind our products and believe that you can ride skateboards how you want them to be ridden.
We deeply respect what a skateboard can achieve and strive to make it fun for everyone. For 2023, we have introduced bushings specifically for the SurfSkate and rollerskating market! We look forward to bringing our high-quality urethane upgrades to these sports!
We are also starting with new environmentally friendly packaging for our 4-packs and roller skate bushings. It has been a long journey for us that we definitely want to continue.
