About Durometer B Scale

The Shore Durometer B Scale is ideal for skate wheels as it covers the entire range of wheel hardness in one scale by reading 20 points lower than the A Scale. It uses a soft spring like the A Gauge but with a conical gauge needle similar to the D Scale, preventing punctures on wheel surfaces for accurate readings. The Shore Durometer D Scale is not suitable for skate wheels as it gives softer readings due to its stiff spring puncturing wheel surfaces.
